Next, you will pass by Zappeion, Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Athens Trilogy which includes the University of Athens, the Academy of Athens, and the National Library. This trip will continue to some of the most famous stops: The National Garden, Hadrian’s Arc, St. Paul’s Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown soldier, Schliemann’s House (Numismatic Museum), Catholic Cathedral, Old Parliament, Constitution Square, Russian Orthodox Church, and finally Acropolis.
At the Acropolis, you will be able to visit the Propylae, Temple of Athena Nike, Parthenon, Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens. Your expert tour guide will lead a pleasant walk passing by Herodion and Dionysos Theatre, in order to visit the Acropolis museum. You will get to skip the lines and head in to check out the main attractions including votives, artefacts of everyday life, statues from archaic period, Caryatids, and of course the Parthenon hall with the metopes, the pediments and the frieze.

Things to look out for

The Acropolis is probably the most visited monument in the world from the antiquity. It is the symbol of Athens, includes the breath-taking Parthenon and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Acropolis museum is one of the most important contemporary works of architecture in Athens and was completed in 2007. It houses priceless findings from the Acropolis monuments that represent its history and function as the most important religious centre of ancient Athens. Some of the most significant exhibits are: The Moschoforos, Alexander the Great, The daughter of Antenoros, The Archaic Kores, Sculptures decorating the Parthenon and The Caryatids.
