Nikos Hadjikyriakos - Ghikas Gallery, the new annex of Benaki Museum will be open at the beginning of 2012  and is dedicated to the generation of the Greek artists of the interwar period who often filtered the lessons of modernism through a particular Hellenic point of view.  It offers a unique opportunity to meet the representatives of the intellectual and artistic life in Greece during the 20th century, featuring Nobel poets and famous musicians, historians and photographers of the Greek Resistance period. Housed in a listed building of the 30s, on the two upper floors, you will get a strong taste of the spirit of that period by visiting the residence and studio of the artist Nikos Hadjikiriakos - Ghikas. You can also visit the gift shop on the ground floor where you can find stylish gifts inspired by the visual work of the artist and his contemporaries, designed by top Greek artists, books, serigraphs and also, toys, children's construction toys and books in the exceptional kids department.
